Adam Jones Wakes Up From His Nap, Blasts O's Past Rangers In Extras

This is Nick once again with your nightly O's update.

Tonight's game had all the makings of another shoot out between the O's and the Rangers as O's starter Chicken Alfredo gave up 3 runs in 1 1/3 innings. But the O's bullpen showed up for the first time this year and shut down the Rangers potent lineup.

Adam Jones blasted a 2 run HR in the top of the 10th and Luke Scott added 2 more with a double to give the O's a 7-3 lead. George Sherrill pitched an interesting bottom half of the inning, giving up 2 runs and giving me a mild heart attack, to give the O's the win 7-5.

The O's are now tied for the best record in the AL with Seattle at 6-2.... Seattle!? Wow it really is way too early in the season to get excited.
